Rotary Green (formerly Rotary Tree Project) has planted nearly $40,000 worth of trees since 2015. The program offers the opportunity for anyone to pay tribute to a friend, loved one, or organization by planting a needed tree in any of our parks.

The committee works directly with City of Jacksonville parks and Morgan County personnel to determine the locations for trees to be planted. We consult and collaborate with arborist Pat Ward from Happy Hollow. Donors can select from a list of tree options selected to grow well in our area.

“Since one of Rotary International’s seven areas of focus is ‘Environment,’ the Rotary Green project is a perfect fit for our local club to continue work in this area,” says 2021-22 Club President Cathy Jo Littleton-Wahl. “We are excited about the opportunities that Rotary Green will now be providing for the public to commemorate someone special with a tree.”

If you love your home town and are looking for a green, eco-friendly project, then please consider making a donation and we’ll handle the rest. Rotary Green wants to make a tangible, long-lasting impact on our community.

All donations are tax deductible. Let’s start making a difference here at home. Any amount is appreciated and welcomed. This is NOT a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Jacksonville.

WHY TREES ARE GREAT!
