Local PBS station promotes Rotary

Local PBS affiliate group Network Knowledge will be airing programs to help promote the efforts of local Rotary clubs and Rotary International (RI). RI President Ian Riseley, Past RI President and Incoming Rotary Foundation Chair Ron Burton, and RI Director Greg Yank were invited to the WSEC studios in Chatham for a videotaped interview that was conducted by Elizabeth Usovicz, who is a Rotary Regional Image Coordinator for Zone 31.

The original program prompted Past RI Director Bob Stuart and Springfield Rotarian Jerry Gruebel to have local Rotarians from District 6460 interviewed and intercut with the original program. Local Rotarians interviewed include Springfield Westside Club President Nominee Tiffany Mathis, Jacksonville Club past president Ryan Byers, and past president of the Macomb Centennial Morning Club Tim Rice.

The first airings of the program of the local Rotarians will be Sunday, November 19 at 11:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m., and 10:30 p.m., airing on  the Network Knowledge affiliates in Springfield, Quincy, and Macomb. It will also be on WSEC’s YouTube channel 1-2 weeks after airing.

The original interviews with RI can be viewed below.
